After standing man for his longtime friend Carl Petersen, Randy Dupree loses his job, becomes a barfly and attaches himself to the newlywed couple almost indefinitely -- as their houseguest. However, the longer Dupree camps out on their sofa, the closer he gets Molly, into Carl's bride, leaving the groom wondering when his pal will move outside.
