There is a 2010 South Korean historical action drama titled The Slave Hunters about a slave hunter who is seeking for the woman he loves while also tracking down a general-turned-runaway slave. With 24 episodes airing every Wednesday and Thursday at 21:30 on KBS2, the show aired from January 6 through March 25, 2010. The series was physically and intellectually appealing to audiences because of its combination of muscular strength, sophisticated yet gritty action scenes, raunchy humor, and poignant moments of compassion. Director Kwak Jung-usage hwan's of a Red One camera to create cinematic-quality images was praised by critics. Averaging 31.7% and reaching a high of35.9%, the popular show remained at the top of the ratings charts for seven weeks in a row. The KBS Drama Awards and the Seoul International Drama Awards recognized the series. For his portrayal, Jang was also nominated for an International Emmy Award for outstanding actor in 2011.
