Seventy-five years after one of the greatest aerial mountain photographers of all time, Brad Washburn, took the first photograph of Alaska's Denali Mountain from the open door of an airplane, Renan Ozturk, Freddie Wilkinson, and Zack Smith view some of his mountain photographs and come up with this wacky idea. Instead of ascending, they hope to traverse the Moose's Tooth massif, which contains the most daunting peaks in the range. It is a novel method to explore the same scenery first found by Washburn. As the crew suffers harsh circumstances, deteriorating ropes, and constant rockfall, their goal to be the first to finish the ambitious route becomes an obsession. When Renan suffers a near-fatal brain injury, however, all three partners must determine what is most essential to them, causing their friendships to deteriorate.
