Pompo, based in the cinema mecca known as "Nyallywood," has been making entertaining low-budget movies that anybody can appreciate. After reading a new script of Pompo's and being deeply moved by its magnificent plot, Gene, Pompo's "movie geek" assistant, takes notice of the script. The emotion welling up inside him causes him to exclaim, "I want to see this as a finished work in theaters as soon as possible!" To which Pompo replies, "So you shoot this film." That's why Gene's taking on his first directing job. But Pompo has found Natalie, a regular girl who has just moved to town in the hopes of becoming a movie star.
