Captain Planet and the Planeteers is the American animated environmentalist Tv program created by Ted Turner, Robert Larkin III, and Barbara Pyle, Created by Pyle, Nicholas Boxer, Andy Heyward and Robby London, and Produced by Pyle, Boxer, Heyward, London, Thom Beers, Bob Forward, Phil Harnage and Cassandra Schafhausen. The series was produced by Turner Program Services and DIC Entertainment plus it was broadcast in September 1-5, 1990 to December 5, 1992. HannaBarbera and Turner Program Services , produced A sequel series, The New Adventures of Captain Planet, and has been broadcast from September 1 1, 1993. Both series remain in syndication. The program recommends environmentalism and is a type of edutainment. Back in February 2009, nature Network began broadcasting events and unreleased footage of Captain Planet and the Planeteers. The Planeteer Movement was launched with the support of both Pyle like a way for fans of the series to connect and keep on to integrate the messages of the show in their own lives as Planeteers.
