Overview:
Maryam Zaree was born in a renowned Iranian political prison. In her documentary debut, she goes on a personal hunt for answers, speaking with her parents about the horrific events surrounding her birth in an effort to break the silence. She also inquires about the experiences and traumatic consequences of other Evin-born youngsters. Maryam Zaree's cinematic method unfolds through her own biography, but it also serves as a wake-up call to the horrors of persecution and dehumanization in Iran and around the world.
