Alice is an American sitcom television show which ran from August 31, 1976. The show is centered upon the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. The show stars Linda Lavin from the title character, a widow who finds a job working in a diner on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona, and goes to start her life over again. The Majority of the episodes revolve around occasions in Mel's Diner.
